A Culinary Delight: Sanderson London

What are you looking for in a dining experience?... more importantly, will you be passing through London this summer?

If you are looking for good food, live music and sophistication then you can't go wrong with Sanderson London Social. I recently visited the restaurant and had the most delightful experience, me and my mother were kindly greeted by our hostess and swiftly seated in their courtyard dining area.

there was live music playing in the courtyard where we was seated. the tables were all a beautiful black and white pure marble, decorated with real lit tea lights; each seat had a green winter blanket for each guest.

In the centre of the courtyard, there was a vast array of healthy plants, of all different species, amongst them was two beautiful water displays.

At the front of the courtyard was a pretty tropical garden chair pictured below.

When I saw it, I knew I needed to add it to my blog/feed. From the moment the waiter took our first order. Our food came swiftly; I sampled the teriyaki beef starter, that came with bok choy, peanuts and thin slices of spring onion. the beef was tender, well seasoned and slightly sweet. My mother had the soft shell crab that was lightly fried and teamed with a green apple and fennel salad. Both dishes were refreshing and highly recommended.

For the main we had, a beautiful fillet of monkfish, that came with a cold runner bean, cherry tomato, and noodle salad. What really heightened the flavours of the main was the sweet blueberry chutney, which had a sweet and sour pickle flavour too it too.

I love fish, so most well cooked seafood dishes, pass my test, however it was genuinely good.

At the end of our main, we had the best cooked chocolate fondant; it wasn’t too sweet and oozed with a caramel centre that was balanced out with an apricot ice cream, that was topped with an a caramelised biscuit.

After dining, we wandered over to the long bar, which is really called the long bar; I had a cocktail, called the Sanderson, and my mum had the Pineapple Express, which was a strong drink but so delicious. Mine was light and fruity, and refreshening. We then finished up both with another cocktail, and I had the Pineapple Express and my mum had another one too.

There was a live Dj playing at the end of the bar, he started to play around 8pm, and the bar was really lively on a Thursday night...

I highly recommended you visit this luxury, boutique hotel, you will not be disappointed.

Until next time, take care!
