Do you fancy a dumpling?: The Dim T Experience....
What can I say? Where do I start?
I love well cooked food, and I certainly love dumplings. I was kindly given a complimentary dining experience at the lovely Dim T. It is the perfect place to visit as a tourist, you can get all of the best angles of London Bridge right outside of the restaurant, it is truly very beautiful.
We arrived quite late in the evening, however the staff were very accommodating, and more than eager to please; we were seated immediately. After being presented with a lovely flute of Prosecco we were presented with a fabulous easy to read menu.
I selected the five spice squid and my mother had the vegetable gyoza dumplings to start; both dishes were adequately heated and extremely delicious; I am a calamari super fan, so I always order that if its on the menu. The dumplings were lightly toasted, served with a tangy but sweet dipping sauce.
As I have mentioned in my previous blog, I do have an intolerance to sugar so I didn’t try to many, but what I had was extremely scrumptious.
For our mains, we ordered jasmine rice with Korean fried chicken and crispy sea-bass. The fish melted like butter in your mouth and the chicken was again crunchy, tangy, and well seasoned.
The sea-bass was coated in a light batter, cooked to perfection and very fragrant.
For our dessert we ordered the chocolate bento box and a raspberry sorbet. The Chocolate brownie must have been cooked by Santa himself, it was rich chocolate laden, a perfect sticky sweet treat that was nicely complimented with a mellow vanilla ice cream. The sorbet was lovely, light and refreshing.
The evening was filled with a lovely ambience; as we sat there I watched the lights, draped across tower-bridge light the night sky. The food and location truly are a magical combination.
(This was a complimentary dining experience, however all thoughts and opinions are my own.)
